Company History
The Singing Machine was founded in 1982 in California focusing on professional and semi-professional karaoke equipment. The Singing Machine Company, Inc. is engaged in the design, development, distribution, marketing and sale of consumer-oriented karaoke systems, youth electronics, musical instruments, accessories and Music under The Singing Machine®, Bratz™, SMDigital™ and Motown® brand names. We also produce and market karaoke music, including CD plus graphics ("CD+G's"), containing music and lyrics of popular songs for use with karaoke recording equipment. Our karaoke CD+G's contain lyrics appear on the video screen. We contract for the reproduction of music recordings with independent studios.
